The CBIC is envisioned to achieve accelerated Development and Regional Industry Agglomeration in Tamil Nadu.

It will decrease the Transportation Logistics costs along with an Improved Delivery Time and Reduction in Inventory Cost

Around 590 km of State Highways between the Chennai-Kanyakumari will be Redeveloped.
It will also Support Minor Ports in the Region.

The Industrial Corridor covers Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Karur, Tiruppur, Coimbatore and Nilgiris Districts of Tamil Nadu.
Under this, Dharmapuri-Salem will be Developed as an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC).
